I work in a multidisciplinary design store where we merge Japanese and Indian aesthetics while taking inspiration from the films of Wong Kar Wai and Wim Wenders.
At work, I have been using most of my time on book research. Post work, I try to make videos with my cousin, half of which I end up deleting because I am not satisfied.
Start of career
My first onstage character was Daisy- a feisty, snappy housemaid who didn’t really care what her Monsieur thought as long as he regularly gave her a raise. We were so under rehearsed and I remember improvising on stage so many times! But we managed to pull it off.
Me as a person
Usually lost in my own bubble, I was always a dreamer to begin with. A mixture of verbal diarrhea and ADD with intermitting periods of antisocialness and self doubt is what would probably describe me best.
Challenges i faced
My parents initially thought i had lost my marbles. The fact that I was a state topper in high school didn’t help either. ( it was predestined that i should be a doctor or a civil servant). But they are supportive now. I still am trying to figure out my life. like Baz Luhrmann said, some of the most interesting 40 year olds he knows still don’t know what to do with their lives. Maybe I will end up sitting for that GMAT exam or maybe I’ll just live on a potato farm.
Something just popped up today. I need to sit down and brainstorm and collect material. I like brainstorming. My brain otherwise gets a little rusty.
Punch line/ quote
You know that scene from the wizard of Oz where Dorothy clicks her heels and closes her eyes and says “there’s no place like home”? That has always stayed with me.
